Responsibilities

• Build a direct to market distributor network

• Full responsibility of the performance of the Chinese sales through distributors of responsibility

• Actively manage distributors by aligning on sales targets, target monitoring, target achievement, sales activities

• Drive strong, sustainable sales growth

• Manage distributors by evaluating sell-in / sell-out data

• Expand distributor network

• Outline growth plans with each distributor

• Continuously identify and pursue new sales opportunities, generate inbound leads, and follow-up calls/meetings to grow China sales year on year

• Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans

• Ensure Medicel has market defining coverage in the Chinese market

• Build exceptional relationships and report with distributors

• Negotiation and contracting of non-exclusive distribution contracts

• Combined value creation together with the customer

• Planning and execution of strategic initiatives

• Train distributors on the values, technical details, and the application of Medicel products, so that distributors are willing and able to sell our products

• Assist customers with application support

• Strong collaboration with marketing at headquarters

• Liaise between distributors and headquarter, ensure to provide solutions to customers, in order to win the trust of customers

• Closely engage with headquarters to provide market information such as procedure numbers, market share, competitive information, market developments, competitive pricing etc.
Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree at least, major in medical and pharmacy, Background working in an ophthalmology company. Priority will be given to those who have managed cataract related products.

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in medical device industry

• Proven track record with sales of IOL’s and in cataract

• Proven record in distributor management, from attracting new distributors, to managing them to perform on sales expectations to driving growth with them

• Existing network of distributor relationships in the field of cataract surgery

• Proven record on overachieving sales and growth targets and results year over year

• Subject Matter Expert with IOL and Cataract surgery

• Technical understanding of IOL and injection systems

• Fluent in both speaking and written English
