Job Title: Senior Manager, IAS China
Location: Shanghai or Beijing
Job Summary:
As the Senior Manager of the BSC Innovation Center, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward the innovation and professional training agenda of IAS China. You will collaborate cross-functionally to identify, develop, and execute innovative solutions that advance healthcare technology, drive professional training, and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for IAS aligned with BSC's overall objectives.
• Identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities within the med-tech industry.
• Evaluate and prioritize projects based on strategic alignment, market potential, and technical feasibility.
Strategic Collaboration and Project Management:
• Collaborate with external stakeholders including healthcare providers, academia, startups, and industry partners to drive innovation partnerships and collaborations.
• Partner closely with commercial teams and other internal teams to ensure alignment and integration of innovation initiatives.
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, ensuring timely and successful execution of innovation projects.
• Monitor project milestones, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure project goals are met.
Professional Training Support:
• Develop and implement training programs to educate physician customers on the use of BSC products and technologies.
• Collaborate with commercial & PE teams to ensure training materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with clinical best practices.
• Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and events for physician customers, both in-person and virtually.
• Evaluate training program effectiveness through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics, continuously improving and refining training materials and methodologies.
• Stay informed about advancements in medical technology and relevant clinical practices to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training programs.
IAS center management:
• Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of IAS center, ensuring that facilities and equipment are in optimal condition.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the efficient and safe operation of the center.
• Coordinate with facilities management and external vendors to address maintenance, repair, and equipment calibration needs.
• Manage inventory and procurement of supplies and materials necessary for the operation of the center.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to provide a secure environment for visitors and staff.
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
Visitor Engagement and Product Demonstration:
• Introduce visitors to the Innovation Center facilities and provide an overview of its capabilities and resources.
• Tailor product demonstrations to meet the needs and interests of visitors, adapting the content for both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
• Communicate the value proposition of BSC products and technologies, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Facilitate hands-on product demonstrations, allowing visitors to interact with prototypes, devices, and simulations.
• Answer questions and provide additional information as needed, leveraging technical expertise and product knowledge.
• Deliver presentations and tours that showcase the innovative work being done at the center and its impact on healthcare delivery and patient care.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical technology industry, with a strong background in upstream marketing, strategic planning or innovation center management. Previous experience in managing innovation centers or similar facilities is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and innovation projects within a med-tech or healthcare organization.
• Familiarity with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscapes in the medical technology sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess market dynamics and identify growth opportunities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving innovation and making a positive impact on patient care.
• Ability to effectively manage project teams, allocate resources, and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support training initiatives and engage with physician customers.
