Description

As general manager, your responsibilities include:

* Financial Success: Achieve and surpass annual revenue, EBITDA and cash collection targets while proactively managing risks to safeguard financial interests.
* Commercial Expertise: Thoroughly assess, negotiate, and secure commercial contracts ensuring all terms and conditions align with the organization's objectives.
* Fiscal Leadership: Promote strong financial performance through sound fiscal management, driving sustainable growth and profitability. This involves managing budgets, controlling expenses, and P&L accountability.
* Operational Efficiency: Ensure operational teams are effectively coordinating product orders and project implementation plans while mitigating potential project risks. This requires a systematic approach to project management, ensuring timely deliveries and minimal disruptions.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify and manage risks associated with business operations, including financial, operational, and market-related risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure a proactive approach to addressing potential challenges.
* Market Adaptation: Continuously monitor and adapt business strategies to emerging market dynamics, seizing opportunities, and minimizing vulnerabilities. This includes staying current with market trends and adjusting strategies accordingly.
* Business Management: Operate within Delegation of Authority Form, stay updated on required resources and capabilities, and foster a positive work environment.
* Cultural Continuity: Promote the adoption of global sales and project delivery procedures. Maintaining a consistent company culture and ensuring adherence of standardized processes.
* Data-Driven Insights: Maintain up-to-date reporting on financial, sales, and operations data, and efficient management of stock and assets. This includes using data analysis to make informed decisions and optimizing inventory management.
* Compliance and Safety: Uphold compliance with company and regional Health and Safety Requirements. This includes ensuring the organization adheres to all relevant regulations and that safety protocols are strictly followed.

Profile

The ideal candidate comes with:

* Bachelor or above degree in engineering or commerce
* A proven track record of at least 5 years in a General Manager or similar leadership role, demonstrating the ability to steer an organization to success.
* 10+ years' experience within engineering, construction, or project management environments.
* Extensive experience in successfully negotiating high-value commercial contracts, securing advantageous terms and protecting organizational interests.
* Background in agriculture technology or water infrastructure sectors. Previous experience collaborating with government entities is highly regarded.
* Possess a high level of financial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial data, make informed decisions, and manage profit & loss statements effectively.
* A strong capability to devise and execute high-level business plans and organizational strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals and the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
* Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in various aspects of business operations, enhancing the organization's resilience and minimizing potential disruptions.
* Demonstrated success in building and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to drive collaboration and achieve common objectives.
