Role & Responsibilities

Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job) :
This position assistant manager to partner with product team and sales team, link the Product offer with market demand, and build the market-relevant, store-tailored assortment. This position consolidate the product feedback in key GTM milestones, such as Pre-GTM feedback meeting, SIM meeting and Sales Meeting, ensure the front line’s voice are heard by product team, and ultimately reflected in the product range. This position need to support on DTP business, early buy livestreaming, new DTP store assortment plan, SMU request etc.
Key Result Areas :
The Assistant Buying Manager is responsible for:

 Closely work with Merchant Team to align on the Category growth stratege, build the conceptural assortment plan by determining key product attributes and category/product type opportunities during pre-season stage from business perspective

 Participate the discussion in Pre-GTM feedback meeting, consolidate the omnichannel (sales + buying) feedback to product team, ensure the concerns and opportunities are emphasized and with action planned

 Get the assortment handover from merchant team together with in-season buying team, learn the product knowledge and support on Early buy order collection

 Work closely with in-season buying team to identify seasonal big bet and Present in SIM meeting

 Present the suggested regional assortment plan (north vs south) in Sales Meeting for DTP accounts. Participate the product feedback session with GTM and merchant team, collect the feedback and follow up on action plans to fulfill the missing gap through SMU request & exclusiveness request

 Partership closely with DTP sales team to monitor the sell through & store sales by weekly base, more focused and support DTP business (e.g. new store assortment)

 Regular Store visit and market visit to understand the trends and consumer needs

 Be the “product experts” within omnichannel team, to openly share the product knowledge and trends within the team, also to learn the business and get business sense
The position of Assistant Buying Manager will partner with the Product Merchant team by:

 Supporting the development of the MFP -merchandise financial plans

 Smooth handover of Seasonal Range Plan from merchant to buying team, key seasonal initiatives, brand story and capsules distribution plan
The position of Assistant Buying Manager will partner with the Omni-Channel Sales team by

 Conducting store visits and competitor analysis to gain knowledge of the industry trend and market needs

 Daily and weekly working with sales to share store level analysis (product mix%, territory, category opportunity) and in-depth analysis of reason behind, reflect the learnings into next season buy plan

 Supporting on all DTP related key milestones, such as pre-GTM feedback meeting, SIM meeting, Early buy live streaming, sales meeting.

Experience
• Knowledge and intuition of the style, design and color characteristics of best and worst sellers

• Retail and product expertise in the key markets in Asia

• Strong understanding of customer needs

• Ability to identify fashion trends

• Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent presentation, communication skills

• Strong teamwork and collaboration with cross functional teams

• Flexibility to adapt to the changing trends of the business requirements

Academic Qualifications

Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor
Minimum 5-6 years or above in retail industry
