The role of the Business Development Team leader/Manager will be to develop and execute the growth strategy and build new client relationships. Responsible for securing exclusive multi-year new logo wins business across the region to maximize revenue opportunities. Working alongside the China Head and Regional growth MD. The Manger of Sales will formalize and own the plan to maximize value creation and being accountable for the full new logo sales cycle, from lead generation through the pursuit process to deal closure.

Key Accountabilities
- Work with the China Head and other leaders to create a strategic growth plan that enables the achievement of the China growth target.

- Build external networks and relationships; use insights and expertise to develop pipeline of China new logo deals.

- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and managing all stages of the sales funnel, from prospecting through to deal closure.

- Identify and generate new client opportunities and ensure that all lead generation activities are chased down (qualification of marketing leads, AMS Alumni network etc.) including outbound business development calls as required.

- Identify, pursue and achieve new logo business in line with the China growth strategy, meeting agreed growth targets (number and type of deals, margin achieved per deal, and total value of deals won)

- Support China deal pursuits; ‘conduct the orchestra’ across multi-disciplinary pursuit teams incl. Innovation, Growth, Central SMEs supported by appointed Bid Manager as appropriate.

- Deliver new China solutions, to cost, from pursuit through to end of implementation; take overall responsibility for the successful implementation and stabilization of new China solutions, working with the Implementation team.

- Establish win-win commercial propositions that give appropriate consideration to immediate commercial realities and longer-term value creation.

- Build and engage with virtual teams as required to develop proposals and win business propositions.

- Develop deep understanding of the AMS China operating model.

- Build a strong internal and external profile recognized as a thought leader and expert in the talent acquisition space and actively participate in networking opportunities and conferences.

- Provide market knowledge and insight to support the innovation function in ongoing solution and product development.

- Act as AMS brand ambassador: closely work with China leadership team to enhance the brand awareness in the market.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Operational recruitment experience - greatest mix of agency, in-house and outsourced experience, permanent and contingent workforce, and mix of industry experience is advantageous

- A distinguished /proven track-record in strategic sales and high level client engagement within Sales, Commercial and Operational expertise must be blended to manage a successful sales process to conclusion

- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders towards a course of action

- Strategic understanding of Talent Acquisition / RPO/ HRO market drivers

- Proven entrepreneurial and innovative approach to development of business opportunities

- Strategic sales experience /selling outsourcing contracts

- Exceptional relationship builder

- Developed communication skills and natural thought leader (consultative style)

- Starter-completer, able to manage multiple, simultaneous projects and relationships

- Reacts positively to pressure and deadline working and hands-on style

- Must have a demonstrable record of initial client engagement through to deal shaping and closing
