Job Description
The EMS commodity specialist is based in TEK China reporting to Sr. EMS commodity manager. In this role the candidate will work with global EMS commodity management team and cross functional teams to support EMS commodity managers on global dual sourcing projects. Assigned tasks may include but not limited to build package clarification, costed BOM analysis, quotation analysis, supply chain readiness monitoring and assessment, transfer project management etc.
This is a 2 years’ assignment.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical or electronics procurement required.
• The successful candidate will have skills in the purchasing functions including material procurement, sourcing and commodity management.
• Skilled in data analysis, negotiations, cost reduction and inventory management with good business sense.
• Program or project management experience preferred.
• Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin, oral and written.
• Ability to work with foreign suppliers with different culture and language.
• Be able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Preference will be given to candidate with experience interfacing with contract manufacturers.
