You have the opportunity to:
play a key role to ensure the operational effectiveness of the Health & Safety (H&S) of employees of the Shanghai organization by providing advice and tactical support. You will be given an unique opportunity to support and develop the local Health and Safety program and systems with an impact throughout the business.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Assures regulatory compliance to H&S regulations and corporate H&S compliance.

• Maintains risk assessments on H&S and elevates significant risk to leadership.

• Provides basic technical functional advice to the leadership of the entity supported.

• The H&S Officer collects issues and ensures adequate answers to H&S demand from the business, supports the business with optimal use of the current tools and practice, ensures operational performance and enables the business to control the related costs.

• Implements H&S programs to address risk and maintain compliance.

• Maintains the entity’s H&S procedures.

• Provides training to employees on H&S procedures and requirements.

• Implements monitoring and measurement of H&S KPI’s. Tracks corrective actions to on time closure.

• Prepares H&S performance status for management review.

• Reports and investigates H&S accidents and incidents.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in a related field of study

• Have the certification ‘Certified Safety Officer’

• Industry good practices and metrics defining operational performance

• 3-5 years’ experience with Health & Safety program development and implementation, preferably in a multi-national corporate setting

• Knowledge of Infrastructure, Business Applications, Information, Process, Consultancy and Managerial.

• Knowledge of the impact of the services delivered on the customer business processes and its infrastructure.

• Experience in EHS management in I&D laboratories.

• At this level the successful candidate should possess almost all of the required skill set to begin making an immediate, positive contribution to the businesses.
