Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job):


Supporting trademark attorney in trademark prosecution related matters for VF brands, including application, opposition, cancellation, invalidation, etc.

Key Result Areas:

• Handling of administrative matters related to trademark prosecution on some occasions:

• Preparing trademark filing documents and coordinating filings with agent

• Drafting arguments for opposition, cancellation, invalidation, refusal appeal, etc;

• Reviewing watch notices reported by trademark monitoring service provider and drafting watch reports

• Supporting trademark attorney in advising possible actions against problematic trademarks

• Supporting trademark attorney in conducting trademark clearance search and assessing trademark registrability and use risks

• Familiar with trademark prosecution time frame, deadlines and procedures

• Proficiency in internet research activities

Experience
Academic Qualifications
Minimum Degree Held: Law degree from PRC law school or foreign institution.

Subject Expert In:
Certifications (Preferred): PRC bar

Minimum Relevant Experience: Preferably, 1) legal education; and 2) prior working experience with knowledge of trademark prosecution and/or IP experience.

Language Proficiency:
Fluent in: English and Mandarin Chinese
