SUMMARIES OF WORK Sales and marketing function for South East Asia (Including but not restricted to Australasia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand and S Korea)


DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB
The sales territory manager will be responsible for heading and being in charge of an experienced team of commercial sales agents as well as selling directly to some customers.
Work to targets agreed with line manager and maintain budgets within the designated territory.
Prepare an annual sales budget for the region as required by line management. Monitor progress on a monthly basis with a business plan to meet any shortfalls.
Maintain regular contact with sales agents and customers in order to develop relationships, foster cooperation and grow business.
Manage activities (appointments, target achievement, etc) of the sales agents and provide on the group support as the generate leads and close new deals.
Present, promote and sell products and services to existing and prospective customers.
Contract and quotation preparation, review and negotiation. Working with Commercial Office to ensure all aspects of the sales process are followed.
Monitor Monocon products in service/trial at customer plants and prepare trial reports as required.
Manage consignment stocking issues, contracts and customer debtors.
Contribute to the creation of promotional information and literature with product management and line management.
Create a monthly report to cover highs and lows of the sales activity, achievements, customer requirements, customer market levels and competition activity.
Create and manage business plans by customer and by country together with the relevant agents and internal line management.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Any other relevant function for the sales/marketing activity
KEY ATTRIBUTES
Have a good awareness of H&S
Educated to degree level in engineering / materials science
Excellent spoken and written English language together with at least 1 other local language.
Minimum 10 Years experience in b2b sales related role / customer facing role
Minimum 10 years industry knowledge within a steel / non-ferrous / refractory environment.
Possess excellent inter personal skills with ability to deal with difficult pressured situations
Reasonable Technical knowledge of refractory systems used in Steel, Non Ferrous with other industries an advantage.
Be willing to travel extensively across the geographical sales area.
Self-managing and well organised
