THE ROLE
The Tech Lead role is ultimately responsible for delivering the application software which satisfies the project requirements on time. To thrive in this role, a TL needs to be empathetic to customer needs, deeply understanding all the technical aspects of the robotics application, capable of planning and driving for a fast delivery of the developing work, and collaborate well with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
YOU WILL
Ensure the project development is on time and achieve the expected overall system performance. Actively looking for risks that could compromise the result and seeking helps either within the team or from external collaboration.
Design and document a cohesive application software architecture, implement key components, debug issues, and prototype new approaches.
Keep the team moving effectively by removing roadblocks, providing concrete milestones, and simplifying or reducing requirements.
Collaborate between different engineering teams to ensure cohesive development efforts as well as leverage the best common modules and appropriate frameworks and actively give back constructive feedback for future improvements.
YOU HAVE
An impact-driven mindset - willingness to work in a variety of technical areas as needed, to solve real problems, and deliver business impact.
Experience leading a team and mentoring both junior and senior SWEs.
A solid understanding of software-design principles, API design, and platform architecture.
A broad range of knowledge base and interests ranging from SWE / AI to HW
Proficient in both English and Chinese.
Prior experiences in studying abroad or working at an oversea company.
Occasional international travel to meet with colleagues and customer.
