Position Summary / 职位概况
The principal purpose of this role, EM Application Specialist for semiconductor/electronics is to perform the demo activities in ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center (ZMCC) Shanghai for all microscopy solutions supporting the semiconductor/electronics. The Applications Specialist should have good understanding of semiconductor technology, will have responsibilities in all areas of applications activities for charged particle microscopy including SEM, FESEM, FIB and/or X-ray Microscopy sales, marketing, and customer support in APAC.

The primary responsibilities of the application specialist are:
Perform the Semiconductor/electronics demo activities and ensure the best demo outputs
Provide customer support/training either at ZMCC or customer site
Provide direct sales support for key projects
Develop new semiconductor/electronics application knowledge

The application specialist will be part of the APAC ZMCC team, and work closely with the sales, PASS, ZMCC team from both China and other APAC region. Travel commitment throughout APAC is required.

Requirements / 要求
Education / 教育背景
Master Degree or above in Biology or physics preferred.

Experience / 经验
 M.S. or B.S. in a physical science discipline using electron microscopy techniques, Ph.D preferred.
 Minimum 2 years semiconductor related working experience using electron microscopy
 Excellent presentation and writing skills in English
 Strong communication & interpersonal skills
 Good team-player as well as an independent worker

Main Tasks / 主要任务

Including but not limited to:

Application Support for Sales Project
1. Work with sales personnel to understand customer requirements in advance of demonstrations, then prepare and execute the customer demonstrations and sample runs with highlighting our USPs/KSPs
2. Prepare professional reports for customers on the full results of demonstration or sample work, present the results to customer directly when necessary
3. Direct sales support for the key projects through delivering professional presentation either face to face or online.
4. Provide application trainings to application team from ZMCC, PASS and field, to increase the semiconductor know-how in whole APAC region
5. Support to build up the semiconductor sample preparation competency in the ZMCC Shanghai, from both hardware and technical skills

Customer training and supports
1. Provides post sales customer training and applications support, either at customer sites or ZMCCs
2. Gather direct customer inputs to product requirement by application and provide the feedback to HQ

Application Development
1. Develop deep understanding and insights to customer workflows and requirements
2. Develop and document new workflows for semiconductor/electronics applications according to what is needed from the current and future market
3. Summarize and contribute demo cases to marketing collateral development efforts
