Job responsibilities
1. Coordinate development of axle, propshaft suspension and other chassis parts on system & component level between suppliers (internal or external), the respective responsible global departments and local Chinese R&D chassis department.
2. Develop and evaluate concepts and packaging studies for mechanical and functional integration of powertrain components and suspension to meet existing boundary conditions.
3. Derive specifications for systems and components, aggregates, suspension and parts from overall project specifications.
4. Carry out design and development activities of new components and adjustments.
Initiate and induce agreement between all involved departments on necessary adjustments of existing components.
5. Assess testing results, issue root-cause analysis and elaborate counter measures.
Create and induce agreement between all involved departments on validation plans according to specified boundary conditions and maturity level.
6. Support awarding of suppliers and sourcing of components according to project milestones.
7. Coordinate documentation activities according to project milestones and deadlines.

Education
• Bachelor degree or above major in Mechanical, Automotive or equivalent engineering subject.

Experience
• Several years of experience in the automotive or truck industry, understanding of engineering theory and principles of design and component testing methods.
• Advanced knowledge in trucks tractive axles and components, their functionality and validation methods.
• Good knowledge in eAxle concept, functionality and application.
• Good understanding of powertrain and suspension components, parts thereof, and their interaction.
• Good skills in Product Development process and tools (CAx, DMU, DVP, DFMEA, etc.)

• Excellent communication & manage skill within complicated environment of multiple stakeholders.
• Structured & analytical thinking to identify problem and provide solutions.
• Willingness to work in an international and intercultural environment, which includes travelling.
• Pro-active working attitude, methodical and structured approach, self-motivating and self-reliance.
• Native in Chinese, advanced in spoken and written English.
