University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a Resource and Operations Officer, Ingenuity Lab

Your Responsibility
Your key responsibilities include:
Funding Relationship Maintenance
 Liaise with UNNC’s Knowledge Exchange (KE) team to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of relationships with potential funding sources, including angel investors, venture capitalists, and other financial entities interested in supporting student ventures to identify and secure additional funding opportunities for the Ingenuity Lab.
 In consultation with UNNC’s KE team, develop and implement a strategic funding framework and funding policies that supports the financial needs of student startups within the Ingenuity Lab.
 Monitor, track and report on the progress of funded ventures, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and providing ongoing support and mentorship for students.
 Provide guidance and support to student entrepreneurs in preparing funding proposals, presentations, and financial documents.
Planning & Organising
 Contribute to developing and delivering the entrepreneurship education programmes and activities of Ingenuity Lab and the whole ecosystem.
 Coordinate and manage funding events, such as pitch competitions, networking sessions, and workshops to connect student entrepreneurs with potential investors.
 Take responsibility for the daily operation of the affiliated Centres, Bases and Institutes of the Ingenuity Lab which includes Centre for Responsible Business and Innovation, Nexus for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Institute for Financial Intelligence and Innovation.
 Support and manage activities related to student entrepreneurship education and take responsibility for the whole organizational procedure from planning, onsite delivery, and final cleaning up for each programme/event.
Liaison & Customer/Service Support
 Liaise, communicate and build working relationships with key contacts of other schools/departments and professional services units at UNNC, alumni and external collaborators to ensure efficient and quality delivery of programmes/activities.
 Work and coordinate with different student organizations and societies at UNNC to raise entrepreneurship and innovation awareness and mindset.
 Communicate with industry and institutions to establish partnerships and collaborations, and maintain a good long-term relationship for operations and development.
 Design CRM for student registration, manage student field trips, become observers of the programmes, provide surveys to collect students’ feedback, issue certificates to students, and handle enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders.

About you
• Fluency in Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
• Good communicator with ability to influence and persuade across different levels of the organization.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to work with people at all levels and diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Working experience in a funding development or investment role within a startup ecosystem, incubator, finance institute or related environment.
• Experience of planning and progressing a series of work within general guidelines, using initiative and judgement without recourse to seniors.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. finance, business, management, and entrepreneurship.
