Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing support to production department by performing a range of activities including: production planning and purchasing goods, materials, inventory on terms that are in the PSG’s best interest. The main responsible brands are Screw Pump, Hydro, and Neptune.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Plan:
• Arrange and update the weekly production plan, follow up scheduling execution and control the finished/semi-finished goods stock level.
• Work order follow-up
• Improve Customer on-time delivery, inventory turnover rates, production lead time.
• Predict the bottleneck or material/capacity shortage risk in the short and long term.
Material planning and buyer:
• Responsible for material planning and inventory control by brands assigned.
• Responsible to prepare correct purchasing plan based on production plan on considering materials characteristics in terms of inventory control and lead time
• Issue purchase orders (overseas & domestic) & and ensure purchased items are in accordance with the terms negotiation with suppliers and entered into the ERP system.
• Check the calculation of the volume of products needed in relation for the order.
• Make materials stock in a reasonable level. Monthly stock analyze (slow moving, no moving, safety stock, to be scrapped material….), find root cause and work out measures and preventive actions to reduce slow moving.
• Communicate frequently and follow-up on purchase orders with vendors to ensure on-time-delivery and communicate status to internal stakeholders
• Work closely with the Production team to fulfill production target.
• Provide the necessary payment documents to finance.
• Monitor the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied. Negotiate with suppliers on issues of return, exchange or compensation in case of delivery time or quality problems of delivered batches.
• Prepare procurement data analysis report when needed.
• Support on the supplier performance assessment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, Mechanical major preferred
• 5 + Years’ at production planning and buyer
• Knowledge of ERP
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Good at English speaking, listening, writing, reading.
• Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic environment
• Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks, a self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues
• Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to win
