The context
The role of software in the automotive industry is becoming more and more dominant, to the point that the vehicle design paradigm is transitioning to software-oriented design, with the hardware platform becoming a capability to host software.
Renault is embracing this change by defining a disruptive hardware and software platform, which consists of centralizing vehicle functions on a high-performance computing component.

Your next role
At the heart of Software Engineering, you will join our team in charge of the architecture of the Connected and Autonomous Vehicle software platform, You will work in interaction with architects, suppliers and development teams from different areas of activity within the Renault Software Factory.
You will be responsible for the definition and deployment of software solutions for debug, log and trace, observability/debugging, configuration, and calibration, on our new centralized software and hardware platform.
You must intervene at the architectural level to define the system and software architecture corresponding to the platform management solutions (health management, software update, diagnosis, debug, log&Trace, configuration, calibration, etc.)
You will have to write specifications, requirements, support internal or external suppliers in the deployment of these requirements.
You will have to present and communicate your technical choices effectively.
You model your system and software architecture in UML/SysML while respecting Renault system engineering processes and methodologies.
You develop validation plans corresponding to all the requirements for which you are responsible and support the teams in properly taking these plans into account.
You will interact with the systems teams of the systems engineering department, the software teams of the Software Factory as well as with our suppliers and/or automotive partners.

Who are you?
You graduated from an engineering school with a specialization in software development.
You have at least 5 years of experience in the field of automotive embedded software.
You are familiar with the AutoSAR Classic standard and ideally Adaptive, in the Health Management, SW Update, Log and Trace, Diagnostics, Configuration scope.
Experience on Android and Linux is a plus.
You know how to model a software architecture in UML/sysML (MBSW).
You have experience in developing a software-based product.
You know the standards related to automotive diagnostic functions: UDS, DoIP, DoCAN.
You are aware of the issue of operational safety (ISO26262).
Experience in vehicle tuning is a plus.
Experience with the SAFe agility framework at scale would be appreciated.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and authentication protocols is a plus,
as well as working knowledge of the following or similar tools:
-MagicDraw
-Doors
-JIRA
You demonstrate leadership and have very good written and oral communication skills.
You know how to manage a customer/supplier relationship.
You are autonomous and enjoy working in a team and you know how to share your expertise and learn from that of others.
You are comfortable in an international and multicultural environment.
You will be able to progress into expert or Lead Architect roles within our teams.
