GENTHERM Automotive Systems (China) Ltd. is a wholly owned foreign enterprise, a subsidiary of Gentherm Inc.The Gentherm Group is a world-wide organization with plants in China, Vietnam, Hungary, Germany and Mexico, and offices in Canada, Texas, Malta, Japan and Korea. In furthering its leadership position in the world market for automobile seat comfort systems and also to increase its presence in Asia, the Gentherm Group set up a state of the art plant in the Langfang Economic and Technical Development Zone in Hebei, and occupies an area of over 35,000 square meters. The Chinese company was incorporated in September 2002, with an investment of USD 12 million and a subscribed share capital of USD 6 million. The company presently employs about 2500 employees. The production line of the plant includes automotive seat heating systems (carbon fiber included), automotive comfort seat systems, steering wheel heaters, and cable harnesses.
