MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure efficient, compliant and Global best practice deployment of the Supply Chain Operations for Cooper Turner Beck by, (1) Providing strategic leadership to all staff whilst delivering business / functional results, (2) ensuring the business & employees are all compliant with legal requirements, (3) Develop, Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenditure, improve effectiveness and target OTIF to enhance customer satisfaction (4) Create negotiation strategies for all commodities / suppliers and close deals with optimal terms to enable effective company trading (5) Assess, manage and mitigate Supply Chain risks to enable smooth, cost effective operations (6) Ensure efficient distribution and accurate inventory management.
1. Supplier Development / Supplier Inputs

a. Develop and maintain working relationships with new and existing suppliers to maintain and reduce expenditure to generate bottom line performance;

b. Use market intelligence and benchmarking data to create commercial advantage for existing and new suppliers to enhance the group’s market position;

c. Secure newly awarded work and ensure commercial terms do not introduce unnecessary additional risk or threats to profitability in the longer term;

d. Where relevant, deploy efficient and effective processes to ensure new products are introduced into the business on-time, within cost and with the appropriate Quality meeting the required mandate;
2. Business Processes and Operational Excellence

a. Ensure all critical supply chain processes (for example, Legislative, S-OTIF, Inventory management) are deployed, resourced and governed effectively to support the plants;

b. Sponsor the application of “Standard Diary” governance to embed control into the business, and ensure problems are solved in a timely manner;

c. Ensure all “Operational Control” principles are applied, including the Environment, Health & Safety model, to sustain day-to-day activities and to continually identify improvement opportunities;

d. Lead projects and events to create a “Lean” environment, with wide participation and engagement from the workforce.
3. Financial Performance (Profit, Cash)

a. Promote, focus and drive plant objectives throughout the global team to support the Profit & Loss and Cashflow (working capital) growth of the business, linking the supply chain topics into the Group’s “Operating System”;

b. Ensure the necessary cost reduction / avoidance and cashflow action plans are in place to sustain and improve profitability as the business grows (or to control costs / preserve cash in instances where sales and activity levels are in decline);

c. Embed the regular governance of financial “outputs” to confirm that internal commercial targets will be met, or where variances occur, corrective action can be taken to enable the business to achieve its end goals.
4. Execution of the Group Strategy to deliver competitive advantage

a. Further develop the Group’s strategic supplier plans and ensure that they are fit for purpose at the local and Global levels, by working collaboratively with the appropriate functional teams;

b. Ensure that effective management of business risk, development of business continuity plans and compliance to external protocols and that the relevant legislation is in place. Development and application of a fit-for-purpose Supplier Approval process as part of the Quality Management System is a key component;

c. Deliver the assigned Supply Chain elements of the overall “Business Strategy” of the “Operational Transformation” programme (Processes, Footprint & Infrastructure, Technology, Purchasing & Supply Chain);

d. Deliver the assigned “People Strategy” elements of the “High Performance Culture” programme, and in particular:



From time to time, you may be required to perform other duties as requested by your Line Manager, and whilst not listed above, these duties will be appropriate to the level of responsibility held and to the scope of the role as defined.
Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering or manufacturing.

2. Knowledge of APQP/PPAP process is required.

3. Quality or Manufacturing experience, program management experience, cross functional experience is strongly desired.

4. Over 10 years purchasing working experience; 2-3 years of purchasing experience in Fasteners industry is highly desired.

5. Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking and collaboration awareness.

6. Solid professional skills in negotiation, project management, basic financial concept and etc.

7. Proficient in MS office and system.

8. Good communication skills. Can read & write in English.
