Core Responsibilities
- Data Wrangling: Create efficient data pipelines, transforming raw data into formats that are ready for analysis while balancing speed and reusability.
- Data Visualization: Craft compelling narratives through data visualization, selecting the right tools and techniques to maximize impact.
- Modelling and Programming: Run and optimize machine learning models to address real business challenges, and develop well-documented, shareable code.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate on technology solutions that integrate with both front-end and back-end systems, cloud, and the full production stack.
- Learning and Application: Maintain a learning mentality, staying abreast of the latest data science techniques and technologies, and adeptly applying these to enhance our data products.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues from various disciplines, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive data science culture.
- Communication: Articulate data science methods and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and impact.
- Leadership in Delivery: Begin to own parts of the project lifecycle, demonstrating a commitment to learning and delivering value from data science initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to identify and deliver solutions that drive business value, building strong relationships and trust.

Do you have what it takes?
- A proactive learner with a practitioner's approach to data science techniques and technology.
- Strong communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders and build trust.
- Working knowledge of core Data Science skills, including data wrangling, visualization, modelling, and programming.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with Python being a priority.
- Familiarity with data science tools and technologies, including experience with version control systems like git.
- A commitment to teamwork and a positive, influential presence within a collaborative environment.• Experience in an agile development setting is preferred.
- Industry experience in retail or FMCG would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, and relevant Chinese regulations is a plus.
- Overseas study or work experience, or experience working in a multinational company is a plus
