ABOUT THE JOB
Perfetti Van Melle - one of the world's manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide - is seeking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Brand Manager. You will be required to initiate, developing, organizing, coordinating, measuring, in line with direction set by business management, all marketing activities for the brand assigned to growth category or improve the market positions of the brands in the category, and by so doing, maximize market share and profitable business growth of the assigned category both short and long term. You will be reporting to Marketing Associate Director.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Initiate and work with market research, with proper research methodology and tools understanding, to identify category and market gaps and takes action to ensure they are exploited by vigorously analyzing consumer, customer, competitor, market and business data
2. Ensure brand identities are more in tune with consumer/customers than our competitors
3. Have a significant impact on/input to consumer/customer insights/concepts
Continuously search for breakthrough strategies to position, segment and differentiates our brand that lead to growth in volume and profit
4. Assesses brand plans objectively and ensure they fit into overall brand/competitive marketing strategy and business priorities
5. Develop stretching visions for the brand and molds them into category vision where appropriate
6. Prepare and manage the budget for assigned Brand
7. Analyze competitor behavior via acquirable data to ensure timely adjustment of the brand strategy and initiatives and prompt reaction to competitive challenges when necessary
8. Direct team to work with other global, regional and internal functions on NPD projects to ensure on time launches of the initiatives
9. Direct team to work with with advertising agency on brand communication strategies and creative development to maximize brand equity and media agency on media activities to ensure the most cost effective and efficient execution
10. Direct team to work with trade marketing and sales team for most effective consumer and trade promotions as well as brand/product visibility in trade
11. Work with other corporate department when necessary on product packaging artwork, trade mark issues, publicity programs, legal issues, etc. To ensure timely execution of relative projects
12. Seek to improve profitability by being cost conscious but without detracting from perceived quality
13. To be a team player to perform other assignments and projects as requested by line manager
14. Prepare business reports/updates/plans per requested frequency and before agreed time point

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE
1. Bachelor’s degree and above, MBA is a plus
2. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Marketing functions, solid experience in people management is a plus
3. Clear, convincing and concise communication
4. Ability to drive results by working in cross-functional environment
5. Strategic and sharp business thinking and good business acumen
6. Experience of collaborating with corporate marketing
7. Consumer industry experience preferred. Food experience is perfect.
8. Good learning agility
9. Passionate with high level of commitment
10. Excellent oral and written English
