How will you make a difference?
• Provide effective leadership and management to achieve the financial objectives determined through the business strategy.
• Establish and develop the necessary infrastructure to attain these objectives.
• Define, implement, and monitor all sourcing strategies by continuously developing an optimal vendor framework.
• Ensure the best markup, delivery performance, lead-time, and product quality.
• Proactively identify, communicate, drive, and resolve any internal or external issues that impact workflow policies and procedures.
• Take accountability for coordinating the training and performance of all merchandising teams.
• Ensure that sourced products strictly conform to agreed-upon levels of quality and, when applicable, labor standards and practices.
• Direct and implement an organizational structure and teams to achieve performance excellence.
• Develop succession planning for the organizational structure.
• Make valuable contributions to management issues as a member of a broader management team.
Who we are looking for?
• 10-15 years of industry-related sourcing experience in senior managerial positions, preferably in Asia.
• University degree or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and analytical aptitude.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Excellent people management abilities and a strong sense of diplomacy.
• Proven leadership in a diverse cultural environment.
• Solid business knowledge in business administration and finance matters.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Understanding of the European customer market.
