MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Management (10%)
? Reporting to the supervisor regarding project and event objectives, budgets, resource planning, marketing and sales
? Ensuring the profitability of the events and projects organised, managing and verifying all income and expenditure
? Maintaining and updating of managerial tools such as CRM, Tempo and all appropriate files and databases
? Maintaining good internal communication within the event / project teams
? Hands-on management of projects attributed to them, including planning, budgeting, quality of work, client relationship, etc.
? Maintaining enthusiasm and professional standards within their event / project teams
Business development (10%)
? When appropriate, proposing the full range of MCI event services to current and potential clients.
Production & Operations (70%)
? Planning of operational roles within their event / project teams
? Managing their project teams within the SBU (Strategical Business Unite) both during the preparation phase of a project and on-site
? Participating in exposition setting up and sponsorship handling
? Elaborating the congress documents including setting up, search of documentations and permanent contact with the graphic professional
? Participating in event debriefings, gather client feedback and market intelligence
? Regular and frequent communication with clients to monitor client satisfaction
? Proper reconciliation (operational, financial) of all projects handled by their event / project teams
Additional responsibilities (10%)
? Representing MCI and participating at selected industry events, exhibitions, social events
? Providing support to other parts of the SBU and other SBU’s, as required, in the interest of MCI
JOB REQUIREMENTS
? A minimum of 5 years experience in the congress industry demonstrating consistent progression in roles and responsibilities
? Experience in planning, developing and delivering congress in the private and/or public sector in an international environment
? A proven track record of managing and motivating teams and delivering small- and large scale projects in a service environment
? Fluency in English, additional languages strongly desired
? Leadership skills
? Good written and verbal communication
? Ability to make decisions and to prioritise tasks, and to remain calm under stress
? Problem solving skills
? Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
? Excellent inter-personal skills
? Good sense of humour
? Ability to motivate and coach people
? Experience with management and operating of budgets / financial control
? Professional education in Event Management, Hotel Management, Tourism or another relevant domain
? Responsible
? Excellent personal presentation
