Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic guidance and leadership for the biology team.

2. Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to propose and evaluate novel target and indication opportunities.

3. Develop and implement innovative strategies for target identification and validation.

4. Guide the biology team in characterizing target mechanism of action, and the MOA-based biomarker strategy.

5. Directly engage in and oversee the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments to support ongoing drug discovery efforts.

6. Make key decisions on the continuation of internal drug discovery programs.

7. Interpret, summarize, and present research findings at internal and external scientific meetings.

8. Monitor and evaluate novel scientific advancements and competitive intelligence.

9. Maintain active external scientific presence through publication and participation in professional societies.

10. Support business development activities such as in- and out-licensing by providing critical scientific evaluation and insights.
Requirements and Experience:

1. Ph.D. in biology, Biochemistry, immunology or related discipline.

2. 10+ years of work experience in a research and/or development environment and 5+ years of successful management/leadership.

3. Strong experience in cancer biology and drug discovery including IND submissions.

4. Strong experience in target and disease validation.

5. Strong strategic thinking, decision-making skills, and interpersonal skills.

6. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills in both Chinese and English.

7. Overseas study or work experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies or well-known R&D institutions;
