Job Title: Voice Engineer Primary
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be part of a team of highly technical Voice Network Engineers and Operations group supporting the Morgan Stanley China Data & Voice services;
The candidate will be responsible to support the Voice infrastructure, including Engineering, Solutioning, Incident, Problem, and Change Management;
Voice Services include:-Trading telephony (IPC Trading Telephony);-Intercom (SpeakerBus);-Standard telephony (Cisco IP Telephony 12.x);
The successful candidate should be able to identify specific improvements within Network Services standards or processes and work with other ENS teams to take action on;
Authoring of design documents, engineering standards and creates best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends
Successfully receive technical escalations and independently provide solutions to resolve high impacting network incidents. Expertly conduct root-cause analysis for major problems and drive the troubleshooting to resolution;?Point of escalations for Level1 and Level2 for incident management;
Communicate with business units during projects and incidents (Severity 1 and 2 bridges);
Create technical documentation for design and as-built environment. (Permit to Build and Permit to Operate);
Mentoring and knowledge transfer to team members across the organization.
Strong presentation skills are imperative to be able explain network design, articulate risk, and facilitate decision making.
Participate in Regional Support on-call duties in rotation;
Technical Skills Required:
The successful candidate will have 7+ year experience in a similar position in an equivalent Financial Services firm;
Hands-on experience with Voice Technologies;
Voice Network Skills:
1.IPC Unigy Trading Telephony
2.Speakerbus; -Cisco IPT (Release 12.x);
3.Avaya System and Session Manager;
4.Strong knowledge and experience with VoIP technologies (H.323 & SIP);
5.A strong knowledge of data networking principles;
Soft Skills Required:
Excellent Incident / Troubleshooting skills;
