Job Summary / Job Purpose:
SG China, head quarter based in Beijing, has 40 years present in China market. Its IT department, consist of 3 sub-teams GTS, FTB IT and REG IT, is responsible for all local IT infrastructure/application maintenance and evolution to support different business lines in China including Cash Management, Trade Finance etc.
We are looking for a talent to join the FTB IT team in Beijing office. The candidate will mainly work with development team cross region (APAC) for our transaction banking and cash management related applications.
Main Responsibilities /Accountabilities / Tasks:
1.Act as a key developer within a multi locations IT team
2.Able to work with the team towards excellent coding and architecture practices
3.Able to challenge organization and how we work to continuously improve team and its efficiency.
4.Fully autonomous for delivering value end to end (understanding the business needs, developments, tests, operations, support)
5.Develop working code using software craftsmanship best practices such as domain driven development, continuous integration and deployment, legacy refactoring
6.Participate to testing, deployment and production activities of the team to ensure production stability
7.Create or improve micro services exposing restful APIs within the information systems, deploy them to production
8.Challenge requirements and advise on good solutions
9.Support what we build (and sometimes what others have built)
10.Support our platform and users on their daily requests and ensure on-duty jobs whenever requested
11.Collaborate with other team members regardless of locations, and regardless of whether they are internal or external to Societe Generale (vendor consultant).
12.Communicate and report to business and IT peers and senior stakeholders
13.Some microservices in Java to provide additional services or support processes not supported by the main software. If those microservices are exposing APIs, they will likely be coded using Spring Boot
Candidate Profile:
1.Bachelor Degree or above, Computer Science Major Preferred.
2.+5 years of experience in modern Java development + at least one other backend language
3.Solid OOP and Design Pattern knowledge.
4.Can dig into unusual issues to fix them
5.Are not afraid to speak out to challenge and improve things
6.Welcome and embrace changes and enjoys delivering working solutions to the business
7.Prefer direct communication
8.Keeps things simple and clear to understand
9.Practical experience with Docker
10.Knowledge in Linux / Unix
11.Full mastery of git
12.Postgresql, Apache ActiveMQ, ELK monitoring is a plus
13.Experience in payment and cash management is a plus
14.Mandarin speaker. Fluent in English
