The incumbent’s roles and responsibilities include:

 Identify opportunities for product development by understanding competitive landscape and market situation

 Facilitate roll-out of new categories or new products to countries outside the lead market

 Facilitate the sharing and learning of knowledge on product, process, material and competitive advantages for respective categories

 Facilitate integration of global processes such as NPS and global NPD projects collaboration

 Ensure consistency in product pricing hierarchy and positioning

 Train and embed the use of corporate marketing tools such as b1, unit shipment and competitive matrices

 Provide common oversight on product development, pricing hierarchy and product marketing best practices

 Assist in the product marketing initiatives for new markets
From a category management perspective, the incumbent’s roles and responsibilities are as follows:

 Responsible for planning and directing the region’s short and long-term marketing programs.

 Develop plans and programs, including forecasts, wholesale marketing programs, pricing and product line development.

 He/she is to coordinate and work closely with the Plants, Engineering and country marketing teams to ensure all product issues are well taken care of.

 Direct liaison with relevant headquarters departments is also necessary.

 Operate as the recognized central resource on all marketing matters related to products.

 Responsible for development and implementation of enduring objectives related to product line development with management objectives both long-and short-term and develop strategies necessary to achieve objectives over specific time spans.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
 Develop long-term marketing plans for product lines. Incorporate sales, advertising, research and promotional efforts required to meet current and projected market objectives.

 Product management responsibility for products throughout all stages of their life cycle, from development to discontinuance, directed at maximizing the profitability of the product portfolio.

 Responsible for the creation, execution and maintenance of a product strategy to guide new product development efforts for each product line assigned. Full responsibility for coordinating the new product development process across all functional areas including Industrial Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and Finance.

 Develop a personal expertise on product markets including a complete intelligence file on competitors' pricing, field activity, customer service channels of market distribution and end-user preferences. Become familiar with product materials, manufacturing, packaging, transportation and promotions.

 Prioritize the efforts of Supply Chain and Manufacturing through necessary forecasts and product information. Work with Supply Chain to monitor activities of critical vendors.

 Provide leadership, coaching and support to the product team members within the Kohler Asia Pacific organization to achieve the above responsibilities together as a cohesive and productive team.

 Interface with the country product team in the following areas

• Product development and NPS

• Liaison and distribution of new product launch information

• Review pricing proposals, eg. Pricing ACTs

• Global or major regional category / product launch programs

• Product marketing initiatives in new markets

 Work closely with the plant to ensure timely launch and smooth delivery of products.

 Discuss new products, materials and purchases products with sales and technical representatives from outside Kohler co.

 Contact customers to obtain market information on product sales and market trends, Includes distributors, builders, consumers, architects, engineers, plumbing contractors, O.E.M. users and retail outlets.

 Attend trade shows, exhibits, seminars and marketing conferences.

Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum Bachelor’s degree. This person should work in similar MKT function for at least 8 years. Experienced in Bath and kitchen facility, especially Fixture Products industry
would certainly be a plus. He/she should have strong commercial sense and analytical skill. The candidate should also been well experienced with adequate MS office software. In addition, he/she should acknowledge a satisfactory written & spoken English level.
