POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Network Operations Principal focuses on ensuring on-time and accurate delivery of team goals. This role coordinates with other cross-functional teams to ensure delivery. Expertise on multiple network technology platforms for the global organization; provides support, architecture, training guidance, and lead release management throughout the environment globally. Working both internal and external partner Senior IT leaders and members. The person must understand vendors and internal tech partners capabilities in the network technology domain and be able to influence their strategic directions.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Manages a team in Network Operations and ensures delivery for multiple segments of work
Management of all global network architecture & engineering including performance reviews, merit increases, regular team and individual alignment meetings, goal settings, demand/utilization management
Owning the network (LAN, WAN, WLAN etc.) to ensure maximum uptime for the business, including the governing principals for network design and deployment
Lead management of all projects requiring network resources and delivering per planned and agreed to dates including the analysis of technical needs, requirements and state of the network’s infrastructure design, integration, and operation
Motivate and grow the Network operation team to its next level of maturity, agility (NetDevOps) and scalability. Help build foundation and define capabilities and processes to address network needs in tactical and strategic terms
Support multiple systems through maintenance, modification and problem resolution to support ongoing delivery of services and/or operations
Manages budget, monitors progress and adjust resources and priorities accordingly
Provide network expertise in determining the strategic technical directions and network architecture for initiatives
Ability to work in a dynamic environment, work with minimal guidance and balance workload based on direction from senior management and/or business driver
Proven Customer service skills; specifically, the ability to build and nurture customer relationships and respond to customer needs. Must be able to manage the customer expectations with realistic commitments an ability to deliver unpleasant news diplomatically
Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort
Manage vendors and partners to ensure security is maintained and integrated into all network connectivity activities
Escalates risks and resolves issues to enable team delivery

QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
Required
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and verbal/written communication (with both technical and non-technical audiences)
Senior engineering level skills in the following areas:
Routing and switching
Data Center infrastructure solutions: Cisco (R&S), ASA/Firepower (NSFW+IDS/IPS), Infoblox (DDI), Citrix Netscaler, Cisco ISE and global scale LAN and WAN solutions, also implemented on Cisco products, network segmentation and access control in remote offices
Comprehensive knowledge with includes solutions analysis, design, deployment and operationalization in the following areas:
Software Defined Network (SDN) and Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN)
Programming/scripting languages and frameworks knowledge and experience, in support of automation (Python, Ansible, etc)
Additional experience in one or more of the following which includes solutions analysis, design, deployment and operationalization:
Data Center Automation & Orchestration
IaaS/PaaS & SaaS
Public Cloud/Hybrid Cloud inclusive of integration of solutions across these platforms.
Cisco ACI or VMWare NSX
Virtualization in the network, security and overall infrastructure space
Proven ability to design, implement, maintain, and support local and remote portions of a regional enterprise network
Ability to create and maintain detailed project plans, scope of work, and other technical documentation of all moves, adds, and changes regarding the wide-area network
Ability to develop and recommend strategies for network growth, security, and other network enhancements by maximizing functionality of routers, switches, and firewalls Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision
Ability to evaluate existing communications systems, identify deficiencies, and make network performance recommendations
Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
Certificates / Training:
Prefer CCNP, CCIE or equivalent certification
Experience:
6+ years’ experience in network operations or related field
Preferred: prior experience in MNC with oral and written English skill
Education:
Required
Bachelor's in Information Technology or equivalent
