Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements gathering – work closely with various internal business teams to understand corporate strategy, innovation demands and translate them into project scouting guidelines.
2. Project/Innovation scouting – Search, identify and analyze potential investment opportunities based on corporate requirements and/or tech development mega trends.
3.Project filtering – work together with internal experts/engineers/users to evaluate project from different dimensions, e.g., fitness to our strategic goals, financial viability, competitiveness, and risk factors.
4.PoC execution – lead the execution of PoC for promising projects, coordinating with different teams to drive for deliverables in time
5.Investment analysis – conduct financial and operational due dilligence on targeted project. Including but not limit to interviews, coordinate with lead investors and agencies.
6.Stakeholder communication – regular communicate progress and findings to internal stakeholders and line managers. Prepare structured documents (reports/presentation) for alignment and decision making.
7.Portfolio management – Monitor performance of responsible portfolio companies' post-investment, assist with strategy development and report on results.
Qualifications:
1. Bachler degree and above in finance, economy, business administration, automotive engineering, material, software or new energy related subject.
2. At least 5 years of proved experience in an investment role or project management role, ideally within the automotive industry.
3. Strong understanding of the automotive market and associated technologies. Or a quick-learner with convinced track record.
4. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with a proven ability to conduct thorough analysis and can present analysis/conclusion in an organized way.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromise on details, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a prioritized way.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
