Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a APAC Sourcing Leader with Indirect Procurement organization. The location of the role is in China. The APAC Sourcing Leader will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and negotiating with suppliers across the Asia Pacific region and to propose them to ADM locations globally, preparing and maintaining sourcing projects pipeline and conducting sourcing events. He/she will work closely with internal teams and clients to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored sourcing solutions, and cope with ADM global indirect category team and/or local site purchasing team to complete sourcing-to-pay process.
Your Responsibilities

• Liaise with business and procurement stakeholders, develop and implement strategic sourcing plans including logistic solutions to serve the Asia-Pacific region and ADM locations globally mainly for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), large equipment, packaging, and chemicals.

• Based on clearly understanding of stakeholders’ specific requirement, conduct thorough market analysis to identify and onboard reliable suppliers that meet the stringent quality and safety standards of the food/feed and nutrition sectors.

• Prepare cost benefit analysis of the sourcing solutions and act as embassador with regional and global teams to promote adoption of APAC suppliers for ADM locations globally that ensure fulfillment of sourcing needs and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

• Develop and maintain business case for sourcing events, utilize advanced analytics tools to enhance decision-making processes and optimize the overall sourcing strategy.

• Act as a key point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance on sourcing complexities within the designated categories.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and certifications pertinent to relevant categories and industries to ensure continuous supply and risk mitigation.

• Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and work with indirect procurement team to implement robust supplier management practices, including performance evaluations, KPIs to track Procure-to-Pay metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to service level agreements.

• Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions and improve sourcing strategies. Lead cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiencies in the sourcing process.

• Provide expertise and guidance on sourcing best practices to internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Your Profile

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Economics, Finance or related field is required

• 5+ years of experience in procurement; MRO/Large equipment, Packaging, Chemical category experience is a must.

• Fluent/Proficient in English is a must

• Experience on logistic management; Understand global trade/Forex practice;

• Self-driven team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills (collaboration across functions, co-operation with external partners and suppliers)

• Understanding of Procure-to-Pay process, purchasing intelligence, able to set up priorities and manage aggressive assignments

• Technology adept (systems, operating platforms), Experienced in project.

• Experienced in adapting e-Sourcing concepts in procurement activities. Proficient in using relevant e-Sourcing tools

• Skilled in cost/benefit analysis, negotiation and alternative decision making

• Experience in Food/Feed/Nutrition, Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry is a plus

• CIPS ,CPSM certification is a plus
