The sales manager executes commercial operations strategy in main segment of Industrial market, compounding business, deliver core volume growth, net sales as well as working capital/cashflow targets.
Also act as Account Manager in several industries to build strong relationship along the chain from brand to molders and all other related parties, explore and handle key customers, build strong customer relationships, position Covestro to achieve profitable sales growth.
Main Responsibilities
Build and execute short and mid-term segment strategies, as well as explore and handle key customers in Industrial market, compounding business segments;
Ensures sales goals are achieved through closely working with key customers and internal departments;
Develop healthy opportunity pipeline and successful closure of opportunities to drive profitable sales growth;
Gaining in-depth understanding of target markets and end users’ technical requirements and competitive landscape via direct interface with key customers and end users’ design, R&D and engineering teams to support the creation of multi-generation product roadmaps;
Building effective relationships with customers, end users, potential business partners in target market segments;
Collaborating with AD & marketing to introduce and collateralize new product launches for a specific end user segment and providing technical sales support for end users and converters;
When applicable, represent TPU in cross-BU activities including strategy workshops, tech days, promotion campaign, industrial association activities etc.
Qualification Requirements (Education & Work Experience)
In-depth degree in Chemistry, plastic or engineering with good knowledge in thermoplastic;
Minimum 8 years' experience in plastic industry;
Team Player and demonstrable track record of leading cross-function team;
Experience in TPU sales and marketing preferable;
Degree qualification in a technical, scientific or business discipline;
Excellent influencing/presentation/negotiation skills;
Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential;
