Job description:
A Renewable Energy Manager is a professional who specializes in and is familiar with the design, installation, commissioning and acceptance tests of renewable projects (e.g. wind farms, solar power plant, BESS). He/she is experienced in Renewable Project Development and Equipment Technology covering product design/specification, siting, Energy Yield Analysis (EYA), Project Management, contractor management (including RFP creation, proposal / design / contract review). O&M, and operation experiences will be plus points.
He/she will be responsible for driving Asset Quality Assurance and related improvements in the project development/execution. He/she

Responsibilities include:
Leadership
• Technical mentorship to engineers to improve overall technical competency
• Support on Renewable Project development/execution technical competency improvement training.

Governance
• Support to monitor and steward project development and execution for allocated Renewable Projects.
• Support the technical function assurance activity, identify key risks, and advise on the mitigation plan for M&A or self-developed projects.
• Support to develop and maintain market-specific database for Key Assumptions and monitor Assets Performance and KPI to tune these assumptions for future projects.
• Support in development of Standardization of Project Development / Execution across all Sembcorp Assets in the Market.
• Support in implementing policies, standards and guidelines in Markets.

Market Growth
• Lead the assessment on the key assumptions for project evaluation process, proposing improvements to the assets with objectives of improving asset reliability and financial performance.
• Review and comment on product procurement requirement and support on the global sourcing.
• Support the Market in interpreting group renewable standards.
• Support the Market to implement Industry/Sembcorp Markets’ Best Practices.
• Identify technology innovation in the industry and support the implementation in the Market.

Requirements and attributes:
• At least 3~5 years’ experience in either engineering or technical project management in Renewable Energy business.
• Candidates with demonstrated leadership, strong team working ability and good communication skills will be advantageous
• Proficiency in WAsP/Windpro/PVSyst or equivalent wind/solar modelling software will be required
• Experience on performance analysis based on SCADA data will be preferred.
• Experience in other Renewable energy development/execution (e.g., BESS/ CSP) will be viewed favourably.
• Knowledge in setting up SCADA or central monitoring platform is a plus.
• Minimum University degree in Electrical/Mechanical or other relevant engineering disciplines.
• Proactive and resourceful, with strong problem solving and execution capability.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint); MS-Project or Data Visualisation tools a plus
• Highly proficient in written and spoken English.
