The core activities/deliverables of this role are:
Develop short-term and long-term Travel strategies and HR services for APAC;
Drive digital & automated user experience to drive compliance and improve user experience.
Develop strong relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders as a trusted and respected business partner
Deliver financial and non-financial KPI’s which include risk and governance, societal and sustainability targets (i.e. develop a Strategic Roadmap to contribute to Diageo’s Society of Progress 2030 ambition)
Input into business service ways of working with the policy owner to help remove barriers and pain points, drive simplification and enable bolder team outcomes
Jointly set objectives with stakeholders, undertake business reviews to reflect achievements against established KPI’s, analyse performance and actively manage supplier performance and identify with the business any relevant action plans
Embed best in class procurement category excellence capability and process, i.e. sourcing, contract management, risk and supplier performance management, as well as supporting the introduction of supplier collaboration models with strategic suppliers
Drive the execution of the long-term category strategies (Travel) in alignment with the appropriate stakeholders and in conjunction with the global category leads
Demonstrate personal accountability for great performance and brilliant execution, whilst promoting high standards of ethics and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience required:
Proven successful track records in Travel and other business service procurement category management.
Experiences in managing projects remotely across region.
Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and verbal)
Agile and strategic to source and propose most optimal solutions at local, regional and global levels
Strong capabilities to analyse and influence with data
Capabilities to lead under ambiguities
Strong commercial negotiation skills
Must have proven competencies working in a matrixed environment in a regional. Able to effectively work and create visibility with diverse and remote cross-functional teams, and to influence and build relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders virtually
Strong analytical and financial skills, including forensic understanding of cost drivers and macro environment. Commercial acumen, understanding of the business, and the ability to take decisions that drive total-business value
Procurement Category Management experience; demonstrated performance in leading projects, managing and negotiating with suppliers and experience developing and executing category and procurement strategies
Proven track record of consistent performance and delivery in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Resilient and able to work in an agile, fast moving environment and to keep up with pace of change and prioritize according to business needs
Ability to clearly communicate and articulate complex situations in simple terms to enable stakeholder engagement and buy-in. Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skillset and the ability to flex style to influence at multiple levels.
Strong stakeholder collaboration and management skills
Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience; ideally with supplier/customer management experience in FMCG environment, supporting business operations
Japanese or Korean Language speaker may be a plus

Accountabilities
General
Applied expertise. Build, manage and grow expertise in market performance, including understanding of Indirects, suppliers, stakeholders and how to negotiate. Apply expertise and standards to identify and win new value for Diageo.
Category excellence. Support development of best in class market data and knowledge, category strategies and sourcing events by applying Diageo standards for category excellence. Contribute to improvement of existing and development of new tools & techniques.
Category strategy
Business partnering. In close alignment with category managers, develop and grow relationships with stakeholders, partners and suppliers for deeper insights into needs and capabilities; articulate requirements and deliver insights for greater value from stakeholder collaboration.
Strategy development. For one or more spend categories, support development and evolution of category strategies by (1) capturing, articulating and confirming business requirements; (2) researching and analysing market dynamics; and (3) assessing opportunities and proposing solutions.
Strategy execution. Support end to end execution of category strategies in market. Track and monitor progress against performance goals, providing detailed, monthly KPI data (including reconciliation to category team tracking projects, savings, supplier performance, etc.). Work in close collaboration with other Market colleagues aligned behind relevant strategies and facilitate escalations.
Support to Global CoEs. Support Global CoEs with strategy development, including for global agreements, above-region leverage and above-market leverage, as required. Especially, ensure that Market data and requirements are addressed fully.
Risk management
Mitigate strategic risks. As part of category strategy execution, identify, record and follow-up risk mitigations in line with category strategies and best practice.
Mitigate sourcing risks. Identify corporate, supply, supplier and other risks associated with sourcing activities, put mitigations in place and execute them, engaging all relevant stakeholders, partners and suppliers to ensure the mitigations are successful.
Apply and improve tools & techniques. Apply Diageo best practice standard, ensuring the most recent and relevant approaches are always applied; use formal governance and peer review to ensure the quality and efficacy of risk management; contribute to development of standards.
Supplier relationship management
Supplier relationship Management. Establish standards, ways of working and trust relationships with market suppliers in relevant categories; ensure Diageo best practices are applied and that there is a good foundation for strong performance, risk mitigation and rapid resolution of issues. Collaborate with suppliers to unlock breakthrough opportunities for the business.
Supplier performance. Set KPIs, driving consistency across suppliers and market, improving the value of data generated and applied, and liaise with Supply sites for resolution of escalated issues. Develop & coordinate SPM KPI dashboard, Supplier Management Teams and Supplier Review Calendar fo
