In this position, the individual would be responsible for working as an independent manager and act as a resource person for customer, suppliers and other departments during program. The main focus of the position would be to complete PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for a new program and complete program assigned on time, on cost, meeting, or exceeding, both quantity and quality requirements of the customer.

• Plan and co-ordinate implementation of assigned new projects in preparation for production
• Follow company procedures related to Customer Focus Plans (CFP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and report program status at regular frequencies with customers, suppliers and company management
• Organize efforts of supervised Project Engineer(s), Process Engineer(s), Quality Engineer(s) and Manufacturing Engineer(s) in accordance with established priorities to complete job assignments
• Ensure that all program elements are being tracked in CFP, and that any changes in program timing is communicated
• Ensure FMEA’s are fully conducted at each stage of program to reduce probability of errors
• Ensure all sub-contracted purchases (material/machines/fixtures, etc.) are completed with all applicable documentation to protect company (ie: RFQ/quote covers specific requirements, performance, capabilities, capacities, run-off/qualification, and warranties)
• Complete machine run-offs per company procedures
• Ensure that operator instructions and processes are prepared for all phases of implementation (ie: prototype, pre-production, production)
• Act as customer liaison for program customers to ensure all their inquiries and requirements are addressed
• Interface with suppliers of raw material to establish program requirements
• Keep track of all costs associated with Program to include material and processing costs, tooling, gages, and capital investment costs
• Participate in productivity improvement investigations
• Ensure all processes will meet required take time
• Maintain ongoing process control through quality troubleshooting and process improvement investigation
• Regular review of all processes and operator instructions for assigned customers to ensure accuracy and conformance to actual procedures
• Update management on a periodic basis regarding the status of the program
• Organize that OSHA, ESA are understood by suppliers and completed
• Set up equipment purchase files

Credentials
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related fields
• Project Management knowledge is required
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently. Serve as a program leader coordinating activities with others and with company personnel beyond boundaries.
• Strong leadership and execution
