Elekta’s in-house legal department is responsible for providing legal support and assistance to the Elekta Group, including more than twenty subsidiaries. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the other functions within the company and active participation in the day-to-day business of all Elekta entities. The legal department has offices in Stockholm, the U.K., Hong Kong, Beijing China, and Atlanta Georgia. This position will be located in Beijing, China and will be part of Elekta China, Legal which supports all of Elekta’s activities within China.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts related to, among other things, sales, manufacture and supply, procurement, hardware sales, software licensing, development and professional services etc..
• Support the Elekta’s management, sales, manufacuture, procurement, R&D, employment and take responsibility for advising with regard to any and all other legal issues within China.
• Counsel business partners on a variety of business law issues.
• Work closely with all attorneys in the legal group and be part of a small, dedicated, productive, high quality, and high energy international legal team.
• Vendor and licensing arrangements, review of marketing initiatives, responses to litigation, and advising on various legal matters.
• Develop and provide training to business clients.
• Incorporates Elekta Values and quality systems into all department functions and responsibilities
• Help roll out Elekta legal policies in China.
• Support some basic compliance work.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by senior management.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Employees must be able to read, speak, write and comprehend the English language.
• Graduate from a top-tier law school in China or overseas with strong academic credentials.
• Member in good standing with China Bar.
• 3+ years relevant legal experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house.
• Superb oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.
• Sound and relatively broad knowledge of general business and commercial, contract, and commercial law.
• Self-starter with strong inter-personal skills, and the ability to efficiently prioritize and handle multiple requests from several internal clients.
• While focused on China, the attorney must be able to communicate with people from different cultures and variations in the understanding of legal issues.
• Must have an attitude that no job is too big or too small, must be client/customer focused, and must accept responsibility for and own outcomes.
• Must be able to strike sensible and practical balance between legal risks and the need to do business.
• Adept at working in a fast-paced, high activity environment with smart and creative people.
• Coupled with strong legal skills, the attorney must exhibit a strong sense of ethics, integrity, and sound judgement.
• Must work well with all functions and at all levels within Elekta.
• Must be a team player.
• Must be adept at the use of Microsoft Office products.
• Litigation expierence is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Medical Device Industry, including CFDA Regulatory knowledge is a plus.
• High efficiency and tolerance to stress.
• Good English and Mandarin skills essential.

Must be able to spend time at Changping office
Tolerance to work overtime, as may be required
Tolerance to regular travel including international travel, as may be required
