• As a key member of the AME department of Lear TCS, the AME Modularity Harness Engineer, TCS will be responsible to creative harness automation solution on modularity & Integrated product; Lead industry 4.0 activities and implementation; Continuously to achieve competitive manufacture concept to get more business and higher profit; Based at Lear Wuxi this full-time position will report directly to the AME modularity leader, TCS Lear.

The Role

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Lead and creative automation harness assembly solution on top of the product

• Following the Lear Corporation industrial 4.0 and new automation/process application outside, and introduce to TCS

• Working with industrialization engineer and automation engineer to secure the pilot process and line development.

• Supporting hardware configuration and software standardization

• Supporting global investment decision making to ensure value for money

• Selecting best cost/performance manufacture concept

• Drive new harness assembly process innovation and introduction, very good inventive mindset to continue to drive labor cost down and/or capex improvement through the new process applications.

• Work with Seat Module to provide automation solution

• Support plant CC for the project in case of link to the pilot manufacture improvement project.

• Early involvement in product design to ensure optimized design for manufacture

• Deploy the lean/safe/craftmanship mindset in all areas

Qualifications：

• Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in automation, engineering.

• 7 above years’ experience of manufacture and automation development. Strongly manufacturing & equipment development background. With harness product manufacture experience is preferred.

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

• Creative, structured, and systematic thinking

• High degree of personal integrity and confidence.

• Operational skills in production and quality matters.

• Good quality mindset, take the prevention rather than detection as priority.

• Basic knowledge with software applications, such as PLC, LabVIEW etc.

• High degree of teamwork, accountability

• Rich Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, 5 manuals, skilled in PFMEA

• “Speak with data” communication and “get hands dirty” leadership

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
