Nord Anglia is looking for Mandarin teachers to join our supportive and caring Mandarin team in our excellent schools. Teachers will have the opportunity to teach primary and secondary students, but will have a particular focus on either Primary or Secondary.
Applicants will need to
* teach Secondary/Primary Mandarin as a foreign language and as first language to international pupils of various ages
* participate in Mandarin curriculum development
* run extra curriculum activities and be involved in trips, performances and other activities
* Maintain excellent communication with parents and write reports in clear English
Applicants are required to
* have an appropriate degree and a teaching qualification (Chinese as a Foreign Language)
* have at least 3-5 years Mandarin teaching experience in an international school or in an international environment
* have excellent spoken and written English
* be passionate in delivering Chinese language and culture and able to motivate and engage students of different abilities and interest levels.
* be able to build positive relationships with pupils of different ages and from different international backgrounds
* be able to teach Mandarin across different age and ability ranges
* be able to teach some Mandarin to native speakers
* have good behavior management skills
* to be willing to learn and share ideas and teaching resources
* act as a team player and contribute actively to the Mandarin Department and cross-curricular and whole-school activities.
* IB / IGCSE experience preferable
* Native Mandarin teaching experience desirable or willingness to teach native Mandarin essential.
