As equipment engineer in the Global Eng Lab team (GEL) at Micron Technology Inc. Xi’an, you are expected to import, install, and debug the experimental equipment to devise and support reliability test plans, manage Labs and equipment, associated with excursions, conversions, and reliability and qualification issues. You will engage in root cause and corrective action efforts within the GQ & DEG department for package related qualification failures and RMAs (failures from customers), ensure equipment health and reliability to continuously improve equipment available uptime, and prepare reports for discussion with stakeholders. The goal of your work is to provide end-to-end comprehensive Lab equipment services for Micron Xi'an's GQ Rel, GQ FA, and DEGPE laboratories.
Responsibility
Your responsibility includes but is not limited to:
Regulate Root Cause and Corrective Action Plans from GEL standpoint of view, lead 8D report on equipment, prepare reports for discussion with stakeholders. Act as a liaison for both Internal and External Customers, evaluate whether internal and external customer requests, from an equipment standpoint, are reasonable and acceptable. Provide technical support for package reliability equipment, including:
Test System Setup
Figure out installation & qualification of lab equipment according to layout plan, blueprint, machine manual and drawing, etc., able to coordinate with multi-parties, such as fac, IT, EHS, logistics, etc., to push and track the work progress together with those partners or independently.
Define and perform operation system installation/re-flash/clone/config, debug and fine tune the system issues, upgrade test environment and release the equipment to engineering team on schedule.
Lead in rebuild/rework the test equipment/system, perform equipment modification, upgrade as customer required.
Equipment repair and Preventive Maintenance
Review calibration and preventative maintenance schedules daily/monthly/yearly.
Plan equipment modifications and equipment upgrades as needed.
Ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
Lead to performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting on lab equipment to maintain a best-in-class performance.
Setup proper PM schedule based on specific requirements of lab equipment, draft PM procedure, checklist and troubleshooting documents as required.
Utilize test and diagnostic instruments/tools to perform or coach technician to follow one-time or periodic checkout, create new real time monitoring/IoT tools to drive for predictive maintenance method.
Coordinate and Maintain Entries into Equipment Tracking Operations (ETO)
Provide ETO support for technicians and offsite locations.
Support GEL MXA supervisor on Lab management and daily operation in below areas:
Materials Management
Manage and reduce the spare parts consumption thru systemic approach, be able to interact with other site equipment personal to share & fanout BKM.
Cooperate with customer to manage the electronic materials and consumables in Labs, ensure a sustainable inventory supplement.
Record the usage of test systems and update their owners regularly.
Lab Management
Manage Equipment Repairs, Calibrations, and Maintenance
Work with team to achieve a best-in-class lab performance through scheduling corrective and preventive maintenance.
Initiate and plan CIPs to reduce lab machines downtime, improve quality and efficiency through a systemic approach.
Support new product introduction, new test function and capability setup and qualification in a timely manner.
Plan the calibration/verification activities for lab equipment/instruments accordingly.
Support internal/external audit, lab property audit and other activities assigned.
Strictly follow up EHS and ESD rules, propose and perform 6S/TPM rules to create a safe and efficient work environment.
Fulfill EHSS Requirements.
Observe all established EHSS policies, requirements, and procedures.
Follow EHSS guidelines included in work instructions.
Report condition or behaviors that are contrary to EHSS policy.
