Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, the Automation Robot Engineer role involves…
What a typical day looks like:

• Robot/PLC Software architecture & design

• GUI & HMI design and implementation

• API’s & Integration with ERP, shop-floor management systems and machine controls (PLC’s, Drivers, Robots controllers, Industrial communications protocols)

• Perform site surveys to identify and document existing customer equipment and processes.

• Coordinate project activities with other associates, outside vendors/contractors and customers.

• Collaboration with company IT (interfaces, security, company standards)

• Conduct and supervise integration and service by technicians and user engineers

• Automatic Data gathering, statistics, analytics and representation through reports & dash-boards

• Create and maintain related controlled documentation (logics & functional schematics, state machines, business scenarios, sequencing & timing diagrams, process flows, acceptance test procedures, technical/operational/maintenance manuals)

• Support system Commissioning, Qualification and de-bugging

• Manage the Software configuration control and release

• BP(Best Case)/Brochure summary; Good at PPT ; presentation
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• a minimum of 5 years of experience in:

• Multi-disciplinary systems, multi software platforms (PLC is prior)

• Industrial Automation & industrial equipment controls, manufacturing/process

• Robot/PLC logic & programming, trouble shooting, and configuration with industry vendors (Robot: Yamaha, Fanuc, Epson, Kuka, Denso, Nachi, others ; PLC: Beckhoff, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, etc’…)

• Serial & Bus Communication protocols: Ethernet/Profinet, RS232/422/485, Modbus, CAN Open, EtherCAT, Profibus, TCP/IP and others

• Data gathering, Data analytics, reporting and dash boards

• Remote monitoring applications

• Strong Hardware capability, including but not limited wire drawing, trouble shooting, and configuration with industry vendors.

• Better to know Gantry programming: Festo; Hiwin, others

• Know DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE, CPK, GR&R, related assistance tools be plus

• Familiar related standard & system, like ISO9001, TS16949, EMS IPC-3 be plus
