Reporting to: Chief Engineer - Vehicle Integration
Position Overview:

As the Module Group Leader for Vehicle Integration, you will play a critical role in enabling effective communication and collaboration between our UK and China-based engineering teams. Working on our new electric light commercial vehicle project, you will be responsible for representing the UK team in China, ensuring that all vehicle integration deliverables are well defined and facilitating their on-time completion.
Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact between the UK and China engineering teams for all vehicle integration aspects of the project.

• Provide technical leadership to the vehicle integration module, ensuring robust adherence to defined processes and best practice.

• Represent the UK engineering team in working-level meetings and discussions held in China, ensuring any key actions or questions are reported to the appropriate members of the UK team.

• Facilitate clear communication and understanding of vehicle attribute deliverables, requirements and test standards between the UK and China teams.

• Collaborate with peers in the UK and China engineering teams to resolve engineering issues and optimise the vehicle attributes.

• Ensure an efficient and robust flow of data and information exists between then UK and China teams so that all vehicle integration deliverables may be completed in line with project timelines.

• Prepare and present project status reports to key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

Required Experience:

• Significant experience of vehicle attribute ownership and delivery.

• Experience working within multi-national teams would be a strong benefit.

• Experience working on electric light commercial vehicle programs would also be beneficial.


Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent understanding of the processes and methods used to deliver vehicle attributes.

• Appreciation of the role of simulation in the delivery of vehicle attributes, including the potential limitations.

• Understanding of the differences in customer requirements across China, European and North American markets.

• Thorough knowledge of all vehicle attributes.

• Familiarity with the vehicle systems that directly impact the vehicle attributes.

• Excellent communication skills are imperative.

• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of results and efficient decision making.

• Project management skills.


Languages
The B-ON company language is English, therefore fluency to EILTS Level 5.5 or above is required.

As this role is based in China, working on a dual language (English and Chinese) project, native proficiency in written and verbal Chinese is also required.
Location
This role will be based in Wuhu, China.

There may be scope for the role to be based in Shanghai, with short-term travel to Wuhu on a regular basis.

Occasional travel to the UK and other locations in China may be required.
