BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project would be BASF’s largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.
Main Tasks
- Manage the team for interface management.
- Ensure a proper communication between the Site Commissioning and Startup organization, each cluster and the IPMT/CPMT concerning site commissioning / startup related topics.
- Constantly analyze and verify if technical interfaces are meeting the requirements.
- Anticipate and keep and an overview on all changes in the clusters with special focus on interfaces. Analyze the effects of the changes on other clusters. Communicate the effects to the relevant stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
- Trigger and coordinate the elaboration of mitigation measures together with the planning and scheduling team and the involved clusters.
- Support the planning and scheduling team in translating the above-mentioned changes into the site commissioning and startup plan.
- Elaborate processes, procedures and sequences to ensure a safe, cost efficient and well-coordinated commissioning of cross cluster grids.
- Represent the site commissioning and startup organization and its needs / requirements in the relevant BIG communities/work groups.
- Establish work culture principals based on AM core values.
- Take safety responsibilities with detailed information in Annex.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of practical experience in commissioning, turnaround management, construction management, plant operation or similar fields. Preferred: Chemical process knowledge and experience related to BIG assets, e.g., Cracker, GAA, Oxo, utilities etc.
- Very good analytical and communication skills.
- Leadership experience.
- Very good English language skills.

新一体化基地将包括一个可年产100万吨乙烯的蒸汽裂解装置以及多个面向消费市场的下游产品生产装置。通过采用尖端技术，全面落实智慧生产理念并遵循安全标准，该基地将成为智能化与可持续生产的典范。
巴斯夫湛江一体化基地将分期进行建设。首批装置计划将分别于2022年和2023年投入运营，主要生产工程塑料及热塑性聚氨酯（TPU），从而满足华南地区及整个亚洲市场多个增长行业的客户需求。整个基地预计将于2030年建成。
