Job Title: C2P Battery Design Mechanic Engineer

Your Responsibilities: 
 

* As part of design team in the PEP (Product Development Process) process, responsible for conceptual & prototype research, design, analysis and retrofitting feedback for continuous improvements to reach technical target and fulfill timeline (SOP and BMG).
* Responsible for carry-over of platform scope to China-projects, implementation and adaptation for China specific demands and specifications.
* Responsible for giving the release recommendation from employee level.
* Responsible for structure and integration for housing, crash and crush.
* Responsible for and support the design of the product (including internal and outer interfaces), thermal system and other components.
* Supports the on time implementation of technical changes (including drawing modifications and releases). 
* Responsible for discussion with supplier of purchasing parts and evaluation the new suppliers for prototype and series phase.
* Responsible for interface internally within design development and externally: VW Group brands’ R&D, Joint Ventures, and their respective planning, purchasing, quality, production departments.
* Supports the localization of components.
* Supports analysis and documentation of validation results in cooperation with engineering team in Germany.
* Participation in project meetings and sourcing process.
* Supports the achievement of field complaints targets for the projects.
* Supports the goal of the ISO 9001 certification.
* Supports the definition and the sourcing of work equipment.
* Supports the „continuous improvement process“ in the company.

Your Qualifications: 
 

* Bachelor Degree or equivalent, Masters preferred
* Discipline: mechanical engineering / automotive engineering / mechatronic engineering / Electrical engineering / Chemical engineering
* Knowledge of automotive technologies & cars in general
* Deep knowledge of technical engineering
* Knowledge of established manufacturing/assembly methods in the automotive industry
* Profound competence in problem solving in mechanical design and failure analysis
* Self-motivated with willingness to learn
* Very good team player
* Good communication ability
* High motivation, flexibility
* 1-3 years (preferable) working experience of mechanical design in HV components fields, ideally experience with series product design.
* English (fluent), German or Chinese (native)
* IT knowledge: CAD-Software (eg.Creo Elements, Catia, …), Office suite
* Integrity and value-driven working style, compliant to rules and regulation.
* Remain accountable when mistake happens and be able to speak up if something goes wrong
