Scope
Product development and product care tasks related to design, manufacturing and product costs.
Strategy
As fully integrated into the global design team I provide added value in product development & product care according to the global roadmap.
Act as team together with local product-, manufacturing-, quality engineers & TSE and the global design team members.
Responsibilities
1) Assists in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification up to member of turbocharger developing projects.
2) Participates in design reviews, design verification and modifies design as necessary.
3) Ensure highly consistent material and documentation consistency and correctness of data during the lifecycle, meaning that design modifications, product extensions and material substitutions are conducted considering the global view, including constructive and operative master data, technical documentation, licensee-, customer and service information.
4) Member of IS-projects.
5) “Design to cost” inputs over the entire part-/product life-cycle.
6) Implementation of DCR`s.
7) Technical training “internal & external.”
8) May work under direct supervision or independently, generally delivering on predefined tasks.
9) Follows work plans and cost estimates for one’s own area of responsibility and ensures quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost.
10) Support risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects.
11) Supports in preparation of specific aspects of design assignments for project meetings.
12) Collaborates with supply chain- and product engineer function in preparation of required documentation for RFQ`s modification proposals and Design Change Requests (DCR).
13) Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility.
14) Follow the global design process (PRB_2.605-2).
15) SAP Power-User for the entire D&E hub team.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience
 Bachelor or master`s degree in mechanical engineering.
 Experience in product design in a relevant field of engineering.
 Experience in manufacturing and in sourcing.
 Proven CAD skills are must (＞3 years experiences), CATIA preferred.
 ERP knowledge, SAP/R3 preferred.
 Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner, etc…).
 Cultural awareness.
 Willingness to travel.
 Fluent Chinese and English in written and spoken.
