1. Roles and Responsibilities
Commercial Support
- Major focus on Intra Asia.
- Maintain and expand local carrier network with ocean team.
- Provide pricing guidelines for respective geography.
- Assist with RFQ pricing and communicate with carriers for rate queries.
- Statistics and reports, local market information update
- Maintain local ocean tariffs and price opportunities for the country.
- Rates guideline/offer to local field sales.
Trade Lane Management
- Building a strong partnership within carriers and logistics partners.
- Rate negotiation with carriers and logistics partners locally and nationally.
- Be the tie in with commercial team on trade lane development.
- Support rate management system and achieve the best possible market rate.
- Provide regular marketing information to the region.
- Maintaining and procuring local ocean related costs and improving NR at a per job and TEU level.
Operational
- Space / allocation coordination / arrangement with local offices and carriers.
- Carrier capacity management.
- Support local ocean freight management to establish workable relationships with the respective offices of the carriers.
- Engage in conflict resolution and problem solving.
2. Education and Experience requirements
- College degree or above, International Logistics, Supply Chain management or other related major is preferred.
- More than 8 years of relevant work experience in international logistics industry, must have project logistics or pricing experience, industry solution experience is preferred.
- Have good market analysis and business insight, able to identify market opportunities and develop innovative marine product solutions.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to establish good cooperative relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Have good self-drive and excellent team cooperation ability, anti-pressure ability.
