The Role
Energy Domain plays an important role in Tesla China, since we have two main product lines, Tesla charging and infra systems. Tesla charging enables millions China Tesla owners to charge whenever and wherever possible. And the other infra system can help Tesla BD to expand Tesla real estate in market.
Tesla is currently seeking an application support engineer to join the IT application team in Shanghai, China. The role is responsible for the Tesla energy software systems

Responsibilities
• Responsible for assigning all Help Desk and customer inquiries, including technical assistance to best use of application product.
• Provides outstanding customer service to Tesla Motors application users.
• Work collaboratively with the local and global factory software team to maintain data/system integrity.
• Offers a single point of contact and ensures that all application support requests are recorded in a timely, courteous, and accurate manner.
• Support and monitor production system.
• Escalates issues within the IT department to ensure issues that cannot be addressed at first level are responded to timely, working to maximum uptime for customers.
• Perform testing of new development.
• Support the product team for application design and improvement
• Perform failure analysis, implement immediate containment solutions, and suggest long term solutions.
• Develop support tool for operation automation
• Follow-up on tickets resolved by internal IT teams to ensure communication to the customer with high degree of satisfaction based on results and level of service.
• Documents and maintains shift documentation

Requirements
Must Qualifications
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent training/education
• At least 3 years ERP relevant project or operation experience in supply chain, production, warehouse management, HR, or Finance one of these modules
• Experience operating large scale software
• Well developed multi-tasking capabilities and experience under pressure
• Ability to thrive in an extremely fast paced environment
• The ability to both express and understand technical problems to stakeholders
• Deep dive root cause analysis skills
• Critical technical bridge handling know how
• SQL and reporting skills
• Basic infra skills like network, DB and K8S
• Able to communicate in English

Preferred Qualifications
• Programming skills is a big plus, Go preferred
• Able to communicate in English
• Knowledge in mobile applications
• Be familiar with DevOps CI/CD tool chain
• Be familiar with the tool like Grafana and Splunk
