The Security Engineer’s role is to ensure technology needs are implemented securely, reducing risk, and helping teams achieve both Donaldson security standards and regulatory requirements. This role is part of Donaldson’s global security workforce, primarily focusing on Donaldson China with lots of opportunity working on global projects.

Responsibilities include the following:
• Collaborate with global infrastructure, architecture and application teams to ensure security alignment for Donaldson China, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, other security devices, and application systems.
• Perform required security engineering tasks, assessing security events to identify and prioritize potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry best practices, and organizational security policies.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and events for IT systems and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Provide technical expertise and support China’s cyber compliance program, including running and maintaining the regional security technologies.
• Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery efforts, as needed.
• Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees and users about security best practices and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
• BS degree in Information Technology preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
• 5-7 years of experience in Security-related technical roles.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (written and verbal).
• Understanding/knowledge of security best practices
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
• Must be authorized to work in the People’s Republic of China

Preferred Qualifications:
• ISC2 CISSP certification.
• CompTIA Security+
• Security frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST 800-53, or OWASP, are preferred.
• Ability to partner with others and work collaboratively on difficult problems.
• Time management and task prioritization skills
