Sr Program Specialist
Job description:
 Establish professional relationships with customers to ensure customer
satisfaction, drive additional business opportunities & Report relevant new
business opportunities to account managers
 Work with sales (on request) to ensure that project proposals are supported with
proposal deliverables e.g. risk/opportunity, estimate, project plan, planning and a
continuous proposal optimization to expand company compatibilities
 Engage with sales team and PAS vertical teams, to support growth initiatives of
each vertical and bring value to customers by leveraging new technology and
solutions
 Managing the interest of all stakeholders (customer, Honeywell, suppliers, etc) in
the project
 Ensure that the baseline project documents are produced, maintained, made
available, utilising project workspaces, to all parties concerned and effectively
used (managing the project)
 Ensures that the project is correctly planned and managed during execution using
the integrated tools of Primavera, MSP, Cora & SAP
 Ensure that the project is delivered fully utilising standard builds and
standardised work
 Monitor and Control the financial status of the project (EAC, Billings, cost
budgets, milestone payments, rebates, warranty)
 Accurately report the status (resources, technical issues, customer satisfaction) of
assigned projects on all key metrics
 Managing the process of scope definition and change control, including
estimating and negotiations of contract / scope variations (Anticipate change
orders in a timely manner on important potential risks technical or other)
 Establish and execute detailed plans to ensure that risks are mitigated and
opportunities are realised
 Create the conditions to enable effectively working teams
 Apply applicable Honeywell QA and project management procedures / methods
like e.g. GPM & HOS
 Work with LSS to ensure that projects are properly closed out
 Participate in the continuous improvement process with respect to project
management procedures, guidelines and tools highlighting any possible areas
where improvements can be made
 Frequent travels, mainly within China Mainland to plan and execute multiple
projects and priorities at the same time, involving a variety of complicated tasks
interfacing with diverse background stakeholders
 Lead team to Manage both external and internal stakeholders to drive successful
results in launching PAS solution to customer with speed, low cost and high
quality and specific value
 Ensure consistent processes, standards and operational plans are developed and
deployed in support of the organization's business strategies
 Build a strong and diverse project team
Job requirement:
 Minimum 5 + years relevant experience with domestic and/or international
projects
 Bachelors’ technical degree, fluent English in both oral and writing
 Good understanding and operational experience to drive a One-Honeywell
approach
 Commercial expertise and experience
 PMP or PMI certified as project manager preferred
 Has an understanding of the marketplace and general business environment
 Understands what the key business excellence initiatives are within Honeywell
 Understands how different functions within his/her own organization interrelate
to each other
 Understands and is familiar with the Honeywell values
 Knows the overall key business objectives and goals
 Understands Honeywell’s overall financial strategy in terms of revenue growth,
profit growth, working capital improvement, shareholder value goals
 Able to manage key financial terms e.g. margin, variable costs
 Understands appropriate project methodology in risk management, control of
working capital and change management and works to current standards
referenced in GPM (Global Project Management)
 Understands the importance of health and safety aspects to be able to manage
projects properly
 Is able to perceive problems well in advance, consider the broad range of
financial, commercial, technical factors in assessing the situation, recognizing
their context and possible causes, deduce/ assess effective solutions
