Purpose:
oEnsure FDRS diagnostics & programming applications are available to support vehicle launch and post-launch for all related QSF (Quicker Service Fix) or FSA (Field Service Actions).
oEnsure back-end data systems (IVS, GVMS, VADR, FDSP, etc.) have correct files, data, etc. to support the service tool procedures.
oInterface with China product development / engineering activities as required to lead vehicle diagnostic information; including domestic and JV export
oSupport design requirements to service tool development team to ensure diagnostics meet the needs of dealership technicians
oEnsure dealership service tool accuracy for China joint venture vehicles; interface with receiving markets as needed for export vehicle programs
oInterface with workshop manual team to align with diagnostic content
oAssist the Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) coordinators to ensure the accuracy of diagnostic tool information contained in publications
oTrack and/or identify and direct resolution of field issues; collect and analyze field reports
oSupport the markets use of the Hotline Assistance Requests (HAR), Technical Assistance Requests (TAR) and work with Field Service Engineers (FSE) and Customer Service Engineering (CSE) Specialists where applicable for timely concern resolution
oDevelop diagnostic solutions for Over the Air (OTA) supported connected vehicles.
oValidation will be performed with both simulation tools and on-vehicle to support new vehicle launch.
oEnsure team has access to prototype vehicles prior to launch
•Skills:
oExperience servicing or repairing vehicles or similar products
oProficient in English language – able to interpret technical specifications.
oVehicle inter-module communication knowledge is critical; including experience with vehicle bus communication monitoring software.
oKnowledge of vehicle diagnostic methods and practice
oBroad vehicle systems knowledge across all/multiple vehicle areas including Powertrain
