- Lead & Management of supplier RFQs for projects for BPC Taicang (focus on castings & forgings)
- Lead & management of cost-saving /supplier resourcing activities in China
- Lead of supplier identification & development activities in China,
- Local language & coordination support for non-China lead buyers in supplier identification & sourcings
- Local language & coordination support of global supplier quality & development engineer
- Evaluation of received price quotations from suppliers and supplier selection in coordination with other commodity buyers
- Negotiation with suppliers about prices, delivery and commercial terms
- Preparation & review of supplier commercial contracts
- support of technical review & feasibility process with support of SQE and Taicang plant engineering
- Support of supplier development and pre-SOP projects in close cooperation with group SQE/SQD
- Allocation of payables in cooperation with Taicang finance department and communication with vendors in case of escalation
- Support and leading of procurement activities for Sales bidding process in cooperation with other departments (engineering, sales)
- Regular weekly reporting to Global purchasing director
- 2nd level of escalation for plant buyers & logistic disponents on plant level (resolving delivery, commercial, payment, quality issues with suppliers and key persons in plants)
- Methodical support for local buyer at Taicang plant
- Working with SAP ERP System
