Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Work collaboratively with cross functional partners, vendors, and production facilities to ensure packaging meets required visual form, fit, and function.

2. Develop packaging that meet performance, compliance, and testing requirements with thought to space and to maximize product shipment efficiencies.
3. Troubleshoot existing packaging concerns related to design, cost, timelines, and material while providing creative solutions and identify areas for improvement in packaging.
4. Knowledge and awareness of market trends, processes, and industry standards
5. Understanding of printing processes, application techniques, treatments, and material specifications
6. Design, test packaging prototypes, and conduct packaging performance tests.
7. Capability to identify and provide rationale for packaging improvement and investment needs that deliver value to the business.
8. Effectively manage competing priorities, meet production deadlines, and maintain status of projects.
9. Aid in sustainability efforts for greater company initiatives.

Qualifications & Competencies:
1. More than 5 years’ experience with a degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field.
2. Proficiency in CAD software
3. Strong understanding of quality assurance processes.
4. In depth knowledge and experience in designing, testing and validating packaging.
5. Analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data and make recommendations.
6. Project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines and budgets.
7. Creativity, including the ability to develop innovative packaging solutions.
8. Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently with little direction.
9. Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
