Your key responsibilities

The role will accept new services as build and documented by the Perimeter Engineering team to ensure that they are deployed meeting the service management needs. Part of the responsibility provides appropriate guidance and support for Operations escalations in complex issues and incidents raised, together with your engagement in problem management activities. The role will include lifecycle management of devices and services that require upkeep.

A function essential to the role is vulnerability management effort. Your responsibility in STS Network Security Technology is to remediate known vulnerabilities. This includes a suite of various technologies supported by STS Network Security. The responsibility also deals with managing vulnerability exceptions as part of the service.

Drive service evolution utilizing the appropriate standards and architecture, increase technology component reuse, and consolidate platforms, environments, products with the goal reducing overall IT costs.

Skills and attributes for success

• Excellent knowledge of perimeter security systems, border protection environments, and management and monitoring tools associated with security systems. Demonstrated ability to integrate these tools into existing environments and new technologies.

• Excellent understanding of networking technologies & products and the implementation and integration of these products into an enterprise environment to build a complete security service.

• Able to make technical decisions in support of Architecture, Strategy, Service Management and Operations functions within the project and escalated troubleshooting contexts.

• Demonstrated experience in dealing with external vendors and suppliers in the network industry

• Excellent knowledge of perimeter security and border protection technology, environments, management and monitoring tools associated with EY security systems
To qualify for the role, you must have

• You must be a Self-starter who can operate without direct supervision on multiple complex projects and tasks in parallel

• Present complex and difficult messages skilfully, using a variety of media and methods.

• Produce writing that contains clear, precise descriptive language.

• Experience with infrastructure implementation/management, service/operations management, etc.

• Maintains awareness of related new and emerging technologies.

• Technology requirements;

o Check Point Firewall

o Zscaler Cloud Security

o AlgoSec Firewall automation platform

o SD-WAN awareness preferably Versa

o Cloud technologies, SAML Integrations, Azure AD

o Remote Access and VPN technologies (SonicWall/ZPA/PAN)

o In depth understanding of networking concepts how to deploy and configure in the security product set.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering or Computer Science or a related discipline, plus an industry accreditation or equivalent work experience

• Demonstrable experience in various aspects of Security technology infrastructure design and implementation.

• Security related Professional qualifications [Check Point CCSE, Zscaler)

• Service management qualifications [ITIL Foundation]
