Job Responsibility:
1. Responsible for strategic sourcing of assigned commodities/categories for new program, resourcing, localization.
2. Gathers and analyses supplier data to prepare analysis and recommendation for supplier selection, benchmarking, sourcing and negotiations on global level.
3. Conduct supplier assessments for potential new suppliers.
4. Evaluate, establish and develop reliable suppliers for quality, service, price and local content requirements.
5. Work with suppliers to develop continuous material cost improvement plans and metrics to monitor performance.
6. Evaluate market conditions and develop strategic sourcing strategies to improve costs, reduce risk and ensure sustainable supply security
7. Creating and maintaining contracts with suppliers from the managed portfolio.
8. Working on possibilities of supply base optimization, localization in the country of consumption for multiple plants in AP.
9. Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing and the supplier.
10. Coordinate resolution of supplier quality problems.
11. Be the subject matter expert and key counterpart for other functions in the organization (e.g. engineering, quality, ALM, PC&L)
12.Support category strategy development and supplier relationship management together with the team / global commodity manager
13. 6–12-month key deliverables/outcomes; Meet or exceed annual price reduction expectations, establish contract for every part, Provide and support additional saving in the areas of design, localization, logistics, Integrate with category team members & cross functions.
14. This position will require some travel, globally or regionally depending on assigned commodities.

Qualification:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or above with major in supply chain / engineering / commercial management or equivalent
2. Minimum 10+ years purchasing experience in a similar position of buying mechanical components from Automotive industry
3. CPM / CPPM is preferred.
4. Fluent English in oral & written, be able in a variety of English communication clearly and sufficiently
5. High level of computer literacy, to include MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
6. Proficient in print reading and interpretation
7. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background is preferred
8. In-depth knowledge of procurement systems and best practices, combining with technical understanding of categories manufacturing process and functionality
9. Experience in dealing with global suppliers
10. Strong track record of negotiating procurement / buying terms
11. Strong team player, self-starter and the ability to take initiatives
12. Understanding and following the highest ethical standards and business principles
13. SAP knowledge would be an asset
14. Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules
15. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate and facilitate others in group situations; High level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternative courses of actions for definition and resolution of problems that is somewhat unique and diverse;.
16. Strong negotiation skill, contract management and excellent interpersonal communication skills
17. Ability to exercise independent judgment is required;
18. Ability to effectively organize and plan.
19. Pleasant personality, cross culture understanding, organizing and coordinating ability
